Universal Test Voltage Regulator- AVRplus™

Avtron Aerospace’s AVRplus™ replaces flight-worthy Generator Control Units (GCU’s) and expensive OEM test voltage regulators when testing aircraft generators. With the ability to support servo controlled Integrated Drive Generators (IDG’s) and “emulating” the characteristics of multiple flight GCU’s or OEM test voltage regulators, the AVRplus™ is the most versatile and cost effective voltage regulator your facility can own.

The AVRplus™ system includes: the AVRplus™ universal test voltage regulator, off-line power supply, calibration tools, computer interface cable, personality software, operators manual, and a rugged shipping/storage container.

Features

  • The AVRplus™ is used for testing common commercial aircraft generators, constant speed drives, and integrated drive generators with any of Avtron's test stands . 
  • The AVRplus™ uses multiple emulation (personality) software packages that simulate electrical characteristics of many GCU’s and voltage regulators.Over one hundred personalities can be programmed into one AVRplus™ with no need for additional hardware.
  • A universal Current Transformer package is available for the AVRplus™ to emulate external line CT’s required by the various test specifications. This eliminates the need to dedicate multiple flight-worthy current transformers for testing purposes.
  • The AVRplus™ is automatically configured when connected to Avtron’s industry standard ATE++™ environment found on the Avtron K938, K838AT, and K738XL/K400BXL test stands. However, the AVRplus™ can be used with most Constant Speed Drive (CSD), Generator (GEN), or IDG test stands on the market.
